Privacy Policy

Captura is built for photography studios that handle sensitive client, event, invoice, and gallery information. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Last updated: 28 August 2026

Data we collect

We collect account details such as name, email address, studio name, phone number, logo, brand settings, team members, and subscription status.

Studios may add client details, leads, events, questionnaires, contracts, invoices, payments, expenses, galleries, portfolio photos, testimonials, and website content inside Captura.

We may also collect usage, browser, device, and diagnostic information needed for analytics, support, troubleshooting, and service security.

How we use data

We use studio data to run the product: authentication, dashboards, client portals, invoices, emails, studio websites, analytics, support, and product security.

We do not sell studio or client data. We do not use private studio data to market unrelated services.

Service providers

Captura uses Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database and authentication, Backblaze B2 for gallery storage, Resend for email delivery, Stripe and Razorpay for payments, Mixpanel and Google Analytics for product analytics, and Amazon Rekognition when a studio enables People grouping on a gallery.

These services process data only so Captura can operate. Where a studio connects additional third-party tools, the studio is responsible for reviewing those providers' own terms and privacy practices.

People grouping sends selected gallery photos to Amazon Rekognition to cluster faces. It is optional and controlled by the studio. When enabled on a shared gallery, viewers can see unnamed face thumbnails and use them to filter that gallery's photos. Captura keeps groups within that gallery and does not attach names or build cross-gallery identity profiles. Studios should give any required notice and only enable the feature when they are allowed to process and share those images.

How information may be disclosed

We disclose information to hosting, database, storage, email, analytics, support, and payment service providers only as needed to deliver and protect Captura.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect users or the service from fraud, abuse, or security threats, or as part of a business reorganization subject to applicable legal safeguards.

Studio responsibility

Each studio controls the client information it uploads into Captura. Studios should only upload data they are allowed to process and should honor client deletion or correction requests.

Public studio websites and shared client portals are controlled by the studio. Review content, links, and uploaded media before publishing.

Security

Captura uses authenticated access, organization-level permissions, and database policies to separate studio data. No SaaS system is risk-free, so studios should use strong passwords and limit team access.

If you suspect unauthorized access, contact support immediately from the support page.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account, subscription, studio, and client data while an account is active and afterward only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal, tax, or billing obligations.

Moving from a Pro preview or paid plan to Free does not itself schedule existing data for deletion. If the studio is over a Free limit, Captura may block new uploads or other over-limit actions. This is not a promise to retain data indefinitely; the account remains subject to this policy, product-specific cleanup rules, and legal requirements.

When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or anonymize it. Studio owners may request account deletion, correction, or a copy of data that is available through our supported processes by contacting Creative Sparks. Some records may be retained where applicable law requires it.
